Riskmedia covers upcoming film by Steven Soderbergh "Knockout," shooting in Barcelona
Academy Award-winning director of Hollywood for his work in "Traffic", arrived in Barcelona last week of February to shoot some scenes that included a car chase by the Ronda Sant Antoni and an exchange of gunshots in Anselm Clave Street. The last scene shot in Barcelona was inside an apartment on Calle Ausias March.
Soderbergh's new film. "Knockout" is a spy thriller and suspense about a young woman, played by mixed martial arts champion Gina Carano, who fights against the corrupt forces. Apart from Caran and Banderas, who shot in Barcelona, Ewan McGregor and Michael Douglas are in the cast as well.
The film, scheduled for release in fall, filming began on February 2nd in Dublin. After shooting in Barcelona, production moved to Santa Fe (New Mexico, USA) to finish shooting.
